Perhaps the most crucial but underappreciated (until it is too late) decision to be made in graduate school is finding the right advisor. Chris’ ability to come up with novel ingredients for his next batch of brew, do proper justice to Gilbert and Sullivan, and bring down an appreciable proportion of Bambi’s kin are the skills that stand out in my mind. I’m sure there were many other factors of greater importance, but they seemed to have faded over time relative to these. Cheers, CB!
